Crohn's Disease

Description:

A progressive inflammatory condition of the gastro-intestinal tract which may include deep ulcers, blockages and/or fistulas along the small and/or large intestines. Symptoms can include cramping, diarrhea and pain in the abdominal area.

Precautions:

Abdominal work may be uncomfortable and is not recommended during acute flare-ups. Massage is appropriate during stages of remission. Energy-type work or light touch massage may be helpful if the client has some discomfort or pain.
