Decubitus Ulcers, commonly called bedsores, are caused by impaired circulation. They generally remain open and are susceptible to infection
Precautions:
Massage is indicated only before a decubitus ulcer develops and helps to prevent them. Once the tissue is damaged they are considered a contraindication until fully healed.
