Parkinson's disease is a degenerative disease of the substantia nigra cells of the brain. Early symptoms include general stiffness and fatigue; tremors of the hand, foot or head; and poor balance.
Precautions:
Massage can help to reduce rigidity and improve flexibility as well as reduce anxiety and depression. Consideration for slow or jerky movement must be taken to ensure client safety.
