Would it be considered rude by my massage therapist if I choose to use headphones during my massage so I can listen to my iPod?

I would not mind at all if my client listened to their own music through headphones.

The only drawback would be if I, the therapist, needed to ask you about the pressure of my massage strokes. I hope you'd be able to hear me.

Other than that... It's your massage and you should do whatever it takes to enjoy your experience.

Here at Mid-Cities Massage Centre and Skin & Bones Massage in Hurst, TX we allow our client's to bring their own music either Ipod or CD's of their choosing.  As stated in a previous post, it is your massage, you should be able to listen to your favorite.  My ipod has everything from traditional massage music to heavy metal!

I would have no problem with clients listening to their headphone.  Before the session started I would explain that I do ask how my pressure is during the massage so it would be necessary for me to be able to communicate with them.
