Touch and rubbing can feel good to you as well as remove any of the dead skin cells on the effected areas, whihc can be healing. It is not contaigious to anyone since it is a sestemic problem. Gloves are a personal/proffesional choice of the therapist and phoning to them to start is a way to start a relationship for you both.
I do not live in NJ and would recommend someone if I could. Good luck on your hunt as I believe it will be well worth your time.
