Many therapists are practicing deep tissue, and it's inappropriate to go over the pain threshold that would make you wins or over a seven on a pain scale of 1 to 10. I would recommend to find myofascial release therapist or someone who does acupressure combined with Thai massage and myofascial release, and in turn your triggerpoints would be found & released  at it's own will, not by sheer force. Especially w Parkinson's, you should not endure any more pain then you're already in. I firmly believe that if you're being caused two wins or clench while you're getting a massage, it's my experience that deep pressure to force a release will not help nor relieve pain for the long term. More than likely you will be in a continual cycle of pain feeling better momentarily and then eating another massage. My goal is always to help my client to the point that if I cannot help them I will find them someone who can. The type of work I am talking about will take about 90 minutes and generally you will feel a burning tingling sensation as the tightness or trigger point releases. I hope this information helps you and you can call me if you have any further questions at 770-940-6364
