My wife is 4 months pregnant and really stressed out. Would a professional massage help relax her? Is there any specific massage she should get?

Yes a professional massage would definitely help. Make sure the therapist is full trained in prenatal massage. Ask questions of.the therapist and make sure.you are both comfortable with that person. I see many pregnant clients and they benefit from the relaxing.g effects of the massage.

Pregnancy massage would be the most appropriate one for your wife right now.  Just make sure the therapist has been properly trained in prenatal massage.  Since she's just going into her 2nd trimester, she can either be side-lying or if the therapist has a body support system which can comfortably accommodate a pregnant woman throughout the pregnancy.  Massage with help alleviate the many stresses that a woman's body goes through during pregnancy such as; low back pain, shoulder pain, hip & ligament pain (from the growing belly), sore feet, water retention, swollen ankles & feet.  There's also the emotional & energetic benefits of massage too.

Definately!  A professional massage will help reduce any stress and anxiety she may be having.  It will soothe her muscles and bring her back to balance.  A Pre-natal Massage would be the best type of massage, because it is tailored to a mother-to-be with careful attention to the mom and baby.
