Can a massage help alleviate the pain I have from a herniated disk?

Careful massage and myofascial stretching may help relieve pain associated with a herniated disk.  The therapist should take a detailed intake faith the client.  If it's a recent hetniation, the thapist might want to touch base with the clients physician to verify that massage is appropriate.
