Zen Shiatsu

Definition:

Zen Shiatsu was developed by Shizuto Masunaga. It differs from earlier forms of shiatsu in that the practitioner uses his or her fists, elbows and knees to apply pressure along energy meridians, in addition to palms and thumbs. In Zen Shiatsu the practitioner generally uses one hand to provide pressure while the other hand provides support to the client.

Good for:

Chronic pain, constipation, migraines, poor flexibility, relaxation, stress reduction, stimulation of blood and lymph flow, low back pain, and nervous disorders
