Appendicitis
Description:
An inflammation of the vermiform appendix, usually the result of an infection caused by a blockage. In addition to pain, symptoms may include fever, nausea, vomiting, constipation or diarrhea.
Precautions:
Massage should not be administered if appendicitis is suspected or if there is an unidentified pain in the lower right quadrant of the abdomen. Client should see a physician immediately.
