Description:
Ovarian cancer is the development of malignant tumors on the ovaries. In some cases the cancer may metastasize to other locations in the abdominal cavity. There are usually no symptoms in the early stages, but there may be subtle signs such as a feeling of heaviness in the pelvis, vague abdominal discomfort and some vaginal bleeding.
Precautions:
The appropriateness of massage depends on the severity of the disease and the type of treatment the client is receiving. The massage therapist should be part of an overall healthcare team.
