Seizure Disorder
Description:
Seizures are often symptoms of some underlying pathology such as a brain tumor, head injury or infection. Some seizures are very mild and barely noticeable, others can be severe and life threatening. Epilepsy is a sub-type of seizure disorder.
Precautions:
As long as a person is not experiencing an active seizure massage can be administered. If a client should experience a seizure the massage therapist should call 911 and make sure the client is safe from injury.
