Definition:

Breast Massage consists of specific strokes such as kneading, rubbing or squeezing strokes applied to the soft tissue of the breast in order to increase blood and lymph flow. Certain forms of breast massage are sometimes used with lymph drainage techniques after breast cancer surgery and should only be performed by a massage therapist with expertise in this specific technique.

Good for:

In many states breast massage is not allowed, except by specially trained massage therapists. It is recommended that the massage therapist have a consent form signed by the client before proceeding. If a lump is found in the breast, there should be no massage until after a physician is consulted and gives approval.
