Cirrhosis of Liver
Description:
Cirrhosis is a condition where normal liver cells become dysfunctional, often replaced by scar tissue. It is often the final stage of liver disease. A person may experience nausea, jaundice and muscle wasting as a part of the disease.
Precautions:
Massage may be used as a part of an overall health plan, but care needs to be taken to not disrupt the body's flow of fluid. Massage may be used to ease discomfort during late stage cirrhosis.
