Dyslexia
Description:
Dyslexia is a learning disability, not a disease. It is a result of neurological differences and affects how the brain processes both written and spoken languages. In particular it affects reading and spelling, but can also affect math skills. Dyslexia does not affect intellect and often those with dyslexia show high levels of creativity. Some symptoms of dyslexia include confusion with left/right and above/below, difficulty with word retrieval, difficulty in time keeping or concept of time, frequent spelling errors, confusing words and letters and poor handwriting. Dyslexia is usually treated with education tools that help with reading and comprehension.
Precautions:
Massage does not affect dyslexia per se, but administering massage can help to reduce the stress often associated with the frustration accompanying dyslexia.
