Lung Cancer
Description:
Malignant cells located in the lungs result in lung cancer. Because they have easy access to the circulatory and immune systems the disease usually spread quickly throughout the body. Initial symptoms are mild: chronic coughing, recurrent bronchitis, pneumonia and/or blood stained sputum.
Precautions:
Survival from lung cancer is rare, therefore massage therapy is given as a palliative therapy to offer comfort and lessen anxiety. The massage therapist will usually work as part of a healthcare team in determining what is best for the client.
