Rheumatoid Arthritis
Description:
Rheumatoid Arthritis is an autoimmune disease whereby the immune system attacks the synovial membranes mostly in the joints of the hands and feet. When in an acute phase the joints are swollen and painful. Eventually the joints may become gnarled and deformed.
Precautions:
Massage may be administered only in the sub-acute stages of rheumatoid arthritis. It can help in maintaining mobility and in the reduction of stress.
