Hepatitis is inflammation of the liver. It may be caused by drug reactions, exposure to toxins or most often by a virus. There are seven types of hepatitis that have been identified (A through G). Types A, B and C cause about 90 percent of all cases. Symptoms may include weakness, nausea, fever, jaundice. fatigue and or/flu-like symptoms.
The presence of acute hepatitis contradicts any circulatory massage. The overall health of the client must be considered during chronic phases before administering massage.
